Update 1:10 PM
Surf is going off & still fun! coming in about waist to chest high. It’s a wind swell so not much punch & a bit mixed up with some inconsistent sets, but still a fun wave coming through. Alot of people in the water today(all wearing their new suits & boards) but spread out. Get it while you can it is dropping as you read this…Skim is getting better but still a bit weak. see below. Have a happy new year!
Surf is about chest to head high this morning. It’s a bit funky with an east swell and a west/northwest wind on it. It’s going to be turning more NW soon so it should be getting better. Surf won’t last till tomorrow so get it while you can!

Well skunked again with knee high clean little rippers & 34 degrees on the beach this AM.
Some swell left pushing towards PCB, I hear it is waist to chest and fun over there this morning however it is dropping fast and cold as balls!(whatever that means)

Skim looks good but too cold at this time(in my opinion) for a waist high surge.

Surf is going off head high & glassy!
Christmas AM update: surf is a solid overhead plus plus. Heavy drift towards FWB & NW winds causing for clean/cold conditions. Surf looks to be very big & alot of work BUT decent waves coming in. Nobody out as of 7:30AM. It should get better as the day goes, check back for updates later!

Surf is bigger with semi-choppy conditions.
Head high plus with heavy sideshore east winds & drifty. Not so good at this time but FWB is probably a better bet with cleaner conditions that way.
Lets hope for tommorrow!
As of 4 PM:
Waves have picked up to waist to chest high, drifty & semi-choppy still. A few dudes out on the right side of the pier getting some lefts, looks like it could be fun! Shortboardable but kinda weak. Get it today because tomorrow will be out of control with Christmas day being the day!
Still no surf this morning although a semi choppy shin to knee high bump is starting to show. Surf is forecast to increase as the day goes & I will update accordingly! In the meantime keep an eye on the cams…(Link to your right)
However the skim looks fun but cold maybe thigh to waist…surf building to a weak thigh
It’s still flat but waves tomorrow! Update early
Surf is building to a weak waist high currently. Seas are huge on the horizon. They are just missing our beaches. With a little more of an east & south it should build fast…East winds are on it @ about 10-15 and it is chilly out there! There is hope for tomorrow early.
The skim is about thigh and possibly fun if you brave the cold conditions. Just looks weak also…
Unfortunately I will be leaving town for a couple of days so this is the last report until Tuesday. As it looks there won’t be much in the way of surf anyways. So enjoy your cold weekend!
Monday AM update: looks to be about knee high. Hard to tell due to the fog as you can see…seas around 2 ft. Might be longboardable if you’re bored.

3:15 afternoon update: Surf is fun, still in the waist range. Tide looks deep right now but good longboard waves coming in! The skim looks good too with about thigh to waist waves. Should be up till dark( a little foggy) with a decline in the swell starting tomorrow.
Surf has dropped this morning to a choppy waist high. Occasional larger set. We have a rain squall lightning & thunder coming through at report time causing for increased south winds on it. Could be fun later although marine forecast is calling for smaller seas today so we’ll see… not worth any pix nobody out, update later!
