WIND HAS TURNED SIDE/OFFSHORE, SURF IS CLEANING UP AS I WRITE. Get out and get ya some! should get better with the afternoon!
The surf has built a bit since yesterday. It’s in the waist/chest + range. Looks choppy sloppy right now but there is a crappy wave for the moment. The wind is forecast to increase today (with the seas) all day with hopefully some offshore conditions before dark! Let’s keep our fingers crossed and I will update if there are any changes.
Waves are on the increase, waist high rainy choppy right now. It should build all day with potential for offshore head high conditions tomorrow. Wait & see time!
Casey Kirk from P’cola sent me some pix of the last swell. It looked real nice! Here are some unsolicited pix from Pensacola Beach… it was fun – hope you caught some, let’s cross our fingers for Tuesday!
The following surfers are in these photos: Robert ‘beeker’ Ballenberger, Brad Davidson, Clark Allen, Joe Jacobi, & John hale
Wind has turned, temps are cooler, surf has cleaned up, get on it!
Surf is basically a repeat of yesterday. Around waist +, semi choppy waves. Seas around 3ft so not much for increase. It should be up all day with winds possibly turning more north by late afternoon. Let’s hope for that!
Surf today is in the waist to belly range. Choppy sloppy with south winds on it around 10-15. It should be picking up today and hopefully get clean by tommorrow.
Doesn’t look so great right now but let’s be thankful there is even a wave! Good day!
Wed early am
Still a clean semi-glassy longboard wave coming through. Around knee to thigh to ehh… Maybe waist if your patient. A little dumpy but may be better at a different sandbar. Looks like Friday may be us surfers day of thanksgiving, let’s hope!
Small thigh to waist maybe bigger set waves on occasion, semi clean, light east winds. Looks ok, one dude paddling it right now. Looks like longboard waves…
Solid waist to chest, drifty, windy but some waves coming through. Looks like alot of work. Getting reports it’s not so great t the pier. Maybe west?…
We have a semi choppy waist high maybe bigger(def to the west) set wave. Seas are around 5ft today so we should havesur all day!
Well, basically a repeat of yesterday just maybe a bit smaller. Around knee to thigh, semi choppy, little summer type waves. Seas are 2.3ft calling for 2-4ft by tomorrow. We’ll keep an eye on it and let you know if it improves throughout the day otherwise you might want to grab a skim or other board to play around on!
Well, the waves haven’t improved much. Still small & choppy. It’s longboardable if you want to get out. Skim looked fun too.
We have a small wave coming through again this morning. Surf is around knee, thigh, maybe bigger. Should build all day and stay ridable through the week! More updates later.
Stiff N winds & cool temps this morning! Surf hanging in at around waist maybe an occasional larger set. Super clean but kinda closin out a bit. Get it while it lasts cause it won’t last long!

Early bird report. Basically repeat of yesterday at this point. Solid waist to chest +, choppy, & windy. Seas are around 5.5 and supposed to increase to 8…winds not looking favorablef or today, Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph becoming west 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon however, there is a chance of offshore 3-5 ft early tommorrow am. Lets hope! Surf is ridable- just choppy for now!
There is surf! And with it wind! Choppy sloppy thigh, waist, + awesome green water though. It’s ridable just doesn’t look that fun now. Seas are going to increase over the next two days(and the winds) with wed/thurs hopefully being the day.
Some photos by Lisa of the last swell here
It’s rainy, with stiff north winds, but there is still a small wave pushing through. Surf is around knee, thigh, maybe waist super clean little zipping waves. Hard to tell the exact size (seas down to 3.6ft) but it has definately dropped since yesterday. Bring your suit cause it’s cold and get it while it lasts!
